CM is an excellent representative of the Tempranillo variety of the DOCa Rioja, a magnificent ambassador for San Vicente de la Sonsierra, one of the most coveted municipalities by the winery sector due to the richness and peculiarity of its vineyards.
The grapes with which CM is made come from vineyards between 35 and 50 years old, planted in goblet . The age of the vines means that the fruits are tiny, but with great expressiveness. The grapes are picked by hand in small boxes, which guarantees a careful process down to the smallest detail. In the winery, the grapes go through a double selection process: First, from the bunch; and then, after a gentle destemming, each grain is selected individually. This wine rests for twelve months in French and American oak barrels, until it is bottled.
Appearance: Cherry red color with bluish hues, shows good evolution.
Nose: On the nose it has very intense and clean aromas, it is a frank and sincere wine that immediately shows us its aromas of fresh red fruits from the range of strawberries, cherries and blackberries. Aromas of aromatic plants such as thyme and lavender appear in the background and it has a background of spicy and aromatic touches.
Palate: On the palate it is broad, with great volume, fresh and a very marked acidity. Its delicate structure makes it easy to drink, but providing strength and intensity in all tasting phases.
