St. Bernardus Wit is a traditional Belgian, unfiltered wheat beer. The beer was developed in collaboration with the legendary master brewer Pierre Celis, who was single-handedly responsible for the rise of wheat beer in the 1960s.
Character, taste, aromas
St. Bernardus White is known for its pungent aromas of coriander and orange, with a touch of spicy cloves and fruity citrus scents in the background. The energetic spices and the creaminess of the wheat provide a masterly balanced taste sensation. The soft mouthfeel houses a wonderful interplay of a sweet malt taste with a refreshing acidity and is closed with a fresh aftertaste.
Pairing: This beer is incredibly versatile for use with dishes from all corners of the global cuisine. It is perhaps most effective as a refreshing factor with creamy dishes such as risotto and with seafood and white fish. Fan of lemon with your fish? Definitely do, the citrus tones of St. Bernardus White will only make your dish stand out more strongly.
