Parking Downtown

Payment is required at parking meters and pay stations during the following hours:

• Monday through Thursday: 9 am to 8 pm
• Friday through Saturday: 9 am to 9 pm
• Sundays: 1pm to 8 pm

The following payment methods are accepted at all single space and pay station metered parking operated by the Municipality of Princeton: 

• Coins-nickles, dimes, quarters and $1 coins
• Credit cards-Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover
• Debit Cards with the Visa symbol
• Park Princeton mobile payment app [Download from Apple App Store or Google Play]

We recommend parking in the Spring Street Garage where parking is free up to one hour.

Parking signage and meter decals using the color coding shown above provide easily seen indicators of the parking time limits to help you plan your parking stay in Princeton. There is no overnight parking on any former Princeton Borough street from 2 to 6 am. Not all streets have signs noting that.
