The Uniqueness of Mt. Fuji Distillery
Unlike any other distillery in the world, Mt. Fuji Distillery is capable of producing four different types of whiskies: a Scotch style malt whisky and three types of grain whiskies, namely American (Bourbon), Canadian and Scotch style grain whiskies.
Since its establishment, Mt. Fuji Distillery has been refining its whisky making in a wide variety of styles by integrating Kirin's own brewing technology with expertise in meticulous crafting based on the aforementioned World's leading whisk(e)y production methods.
The house style of the whiskies is known for “Pure & Mellow,” referring to their purity in flavor, exquisite depth of character, and smoothness.
FUJI Whisky
Japanese craftsmanship and skilled blending from Master Blender Jota Tanaka creates this whisky that reflects the best of Japanese and Scottish style. A blended whisky with a fruity, creamy and sweet flavor.
Nose: Vanilla beans, crème brûlée, galette, followed by dried fig, apricot, and a hint of anise.
Water brings out rye spiciness and red berries.
Palate: Mellow and smooth mouthfeel with malty, creamy flavors, and then rye spiciness.
When water is added, you get oat biscuits and red berries.
Finish: Moderately woody, very slight peat makes it crisp and then a delicate sweetness follows. Complex and moderately long aftertaste with hints of dried fruits.
