A true witness of history and a gem of the Languedoc, the Cite de Carcassonne is a World Heritage Site. Its surrounding vineyards and the wines they produce are the region's most esteemed ambassadors.
The permitted grapes of the appellation include Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Chardonnay, but also allow for varietals more local to Languedoc-Roussillon, such as Grenache, Carignan, and Syrah.
Tasting Notes:
A red wine with body, finesse, and a lovely mouthfeel. Rich and sappy on the palate with a touch of velvety tannin, making this a chewy, dense, and opulent wine.
