El Jefe “Grande” is a one liter bottle of Tempranillo produced from a single estate in Castilla y Leon (Zamorra) just south of Toro. The family has been growing grapes in this region for three generations. They tie their harvest and ferment in breathable cement tanks to express the natural strength, sinewy agility, balance and fresh nature of Tempranillo of the area.
Tasting Notes
El Jefe “Grande” is the Big Boss, we know who they are. So here’s to them: an honest and solid red wine-deep, fresh and flexible enough to handle most days. Fermented in tradition cement vats with no oak to expres soft, fresh tannins and purity of fruit. Only 12.5% alcohol
