The Giovanni Rosso Nebbiolo vineyards are located in the best and most historical sites of the Serralunga d’Alba Barolo cru. They have around a dozen different plots within the commune, in addition to the newly acquired Valle del Mondo vineyard just south of the communal boundary in Roddino. They farm as organically as possible, using no artificial chemical treatments. The harvest is done exclusively by hand, as well as the pruning and tilling of the soil beneath the vines. Green harvest is carried out as necessary and they allow plant growth between the rows of vines to encourage soil health and biodiversity in the vineyards.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red color. The nose is intense and complex with charming scents of cherry liqueur, violet, star anise, dried leaves and blueberries. On the palate it is well-structured and well-balanced, with smooth tannins and a very long finish.
