Guerrieri Rizzardi Description

CALCAROLE Amarone Riserva is produced only in the best years and in limited quantities.

The vineyards are located on terraces (marogne) up to 230 m above sea level, in Calcarole in Negrar di Valpolicella, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica and benefit from a particular microclimate and calcareous soil with south-east exposure.

From ancient, low-yield vineyards, the grapes are harvested and selected by hand at the right ripeness and subjected to drying, then fermented and finally matured for a long time in oak wood.”

Tasting Notes

Deep and dark with an inky red core. Intense bouquet with plum, maraschino cherry, tobacco and dried fruit. Full bodied with a firm structure - spicy ripe plum and cherry fruit with a hint of bitter almond on the long finish.
